Why adults decide to undergo treatment

There are many reasons: some never received treatment as children. Others neglected their retention and their teeth shifted again. And some come on the recommendation of their dentist because misalignments affect dental health in the long term: they make thorough cleaning more difficult, increase the risk of caries, and strain the joints.

 

Is treatment different for adults?

Technically speaking, hardly. The biggest difference is that the jaw is no longer growing, which makes some corrections more complex but does not necessarily prolong the duration of treatment. Many adult treatments are completed in 12–18 months.

​How much does adult treatment cost?

Depending on the scope of treatment, the total cost ranges from CHF 5,000 to CHF 12,000. Some supplementary insurance policies contribute to the cost. Installment payments are available on request.
